Transportation

Cathedral High School does not provide bus service. The MBTA, however, offers many different options.

The Silver Line SL4 and SL5 busses stop at Union Park Street, right at the school. The SL4 connects with the Red Line T at South Station. The SL5 connects with the Orange Line T at the New England Medical Center. Both busses are also available from Dudley Station where they connect with many different busses.

  • Students who live within the city of Boston, more than two miles from the school, can get a free T pass good for travel on local Bus, Subway, Express Bus, and Commuter Rail. These passes are given at the discretion of the MBTA.
If you do not meet the residency requirements or the MBTA does not grant a free pass to your child, there are two other options:
  • $20/month Student T-Pass good for unlimited travel on Bus, Subway, Express Bus, and Commuter Rail Zones 1A, 1 and 2 until 11:00 p.m. on school days.
  • Obtain a Student Charlie Card from Sr. Joan Burke in the main office. These cards can be loaded with money and used like a debit card. Students ride for 50% off the price of standard adult fare.
