Sacraments
This course helps give students an appreciation of the sacred moments and times in their lives. Through an in depth study of seven Catholic Sacraments, students learn how all of life is sacred, and explore those people and events in their lives that emphasize God’s presence. Students also study the history and development of each individual Catholic Sacrament.

COMPETENCY GOAL 1: Students will gain an appreciation of the sacramental view of reality. Objectives:
- Students will appreciate the sacred, understanding the world as God’s creation.
- Through an understanding of symbols and rituals, students will learn how human beings by nature have contact with the divine.
COMPETENCY GOAL 2: Students will understand Jesus Christ as the source of all sacraments and as the supreme sacrament. Objectives:
- Students will gain an appreciation of the life and ministry of Jesus Christ and the continuation of his Incarnation in the present day.
COMPETENCY GOAL 3: Students will gain knowledge about the history of the sacraments. Objectives:
- Students will study the Catholic tradition and the development of the Church’s understanding of the seven sacraments.
- Students will be challenged to apply this knowledge to the present day and thereby gain a greater appreciation of God’s presence in the world.
- Students will understand the historical context out of which the Christian community developed.
- Students will learn how the varying Christian traditions relating to the sacraments grew, and how these traditions all have relevance today.
COMPETENCY GOAL 4: Students will gain knowledge about and appreciation of the Seven Sacraments of the Catholic Church. Objectives:
- Students will examine the sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation, the Eucharist, Reconciliation, Anointing of the Sick, Matrimony, and Holy Orders.
- Students will witness the practice of these sacraments through an examination of the Catholic mass and prayer tradition.
- Students will be challenged to appreciate the universal character and application of these traditions.

- Employ simple troubleshooting strategies when computer/printer problems occur.
- Design a web page with a heading, text, graphics, and buttons.
- Create a link.
- Create a specified folder for saving web page elements.
- View html source code language.
- Create a 2-3 page web site.
- Create a web page to present information.
